How it works

From connected to certain

Connect eBay, record your stock, and let Sellcount do the careful arithmetic. Here is what happens behind every number.

The three steps

  1. 1Step 1

    Connect your eBay store

Sign in on eBay’s own page and give Sellcount read-only access. Your last 30 days come first, then up to 90, usually within minutes. A daily sync keeps it current.

  2. 2Step 2

    Record what you buy

Add each purchase with its delivery and extras. Sellcount shares those costs into a landed cost per unit and keeps every delivery as a batch.

  3. 3Step 3

    See what you really made

Profit by month, order and product, checked against eBay’s payouts. Click any number to see how it was worked out.

Two sheets, one truth

Everything an eBay business needs, in two sheets

They share the same orders and the same real cost, so the two never disagree.

The sheet for what you keep

Every sale, fee, label and refund turned into a clear monthly profit and loss.

  • Monthly P&L with a column for each month and a total
  • Orders table, with Explain this number on every figure
  • Profit by product, with margin and return on cost
  • Reconciliation to eBay payouts and a month end checklist
  • Period locks, an audit log and Excel or PDF reports

True cost of goods

Your cost changes with every delivery. Your profit should too.

Sellcount keeps each delivery as a batch and always sells the oldest first, the way your shelf works. Drag the slider and watch the cost follow.

120 units in stock
Batch #1$4.20 each

0 of 40 left (40 sold)

Batch #2$4.95 each

35 of 50 left (15 sold)

Batch #3$5.40 each

30 of 30 left

Cost of goods for these sales

$242.25

Average cost of a unit sold

$4.40

A plain average would charge every unit the same. Oldest batch first charges each unit what it really cost, so a month with cheap old stock and a month with dear new stock show their true profit.

Click any number. See exactly why.

Every figure in Sellcount opens into the sale, the fees, the postage, the refund and the batch behind it. If a number looks wrong, you can prove it, or fix it at the source.

Reconciliation

Every period reconciles to eBay, or shows you why it does not.

Sellcount lines up your orders, fees and refunds against what eBay actually paid out.

  • Order 27-11034$48.20
  • Order 27-11035$22.10
  • Order 27-11036$91.75
  • Order 27-11037$35.00
  • Order 27-11038$12.40

eBay payout, 14 September

$1,284.50

30 of 31 orders matched

1 to look at: $12.40

Order 27-11038 was refunded after this payout was calculated. A timing gap, not a mistake. It settles in the next payout.
