What is Sellcount?
Sellcount works out the real profit of an eBay business. It reads your orders, fees, postage labels and refunds from eBay, adds what your stock really cost, and shows net profit by month, by order and by product. Every period is checked against eBay’s payouts, so you see which orders do not add up instead of guessing.
What does beta mean?
Sellcount is a real, working product that is still being sharpened. Expect fast changes, the odd rough edge and a team that reads every message you send. Your data is handled with the same care as in the final product. Plans, limits and prices are being finalised, and we will tell you before anything changes for you.
Who is it for?
Sellers who run on eBay and want to know what they really keep: one-person shops that live in spreadsheets today, and small teams that run several stores and share stock.
Which eBay sites does it support?
eBay UK and eBay US at launch. Germany, Canada and Australia can already be selected and are marked beta. Prices are shown in seven currencies: GBP, USD, EUR, CAD, AUD, CHF and PLN.
Can I track sales from other places?
Yes. You can log sales by hand for TikTok, Amazon, Etsy, Facebook Marketplace, Vinted, Depop, your own website, Gumtree, in person and others. They use the same stock and the same real cost. Connecting other marketplaces automatically is planned.
How does Sellcount get my eBay data?
You press Connect eBay and sign in on eBay’s own page. Sellcount never sees your eBay password. It asks for read-only permission to your orders, fees, refunds, payouts and listings. It cannot change a listing, answer a buyer or move money.
Does Sellcount keep my buyers’ details?
No. The raw answers from eBay, which hold buyer names and addresses, stay on the server and are never shown. The app keeps only money figures, order ids, the item and the shipping country.
How fresh is the data?
Sellcount syncs with eBay every day, and you can press Sync now when you want it sooner (with a short cooldown). Each run re-reads the last days, so late refunds and fee credits are caught. More frequent syncing on the higher plans is planned.
How does it know what my stock cost?
You record what you buy: supplier, quantity, price and extra costs like delivery. Sellcount shares the extras into a landed cost per unit and keeps each delivery as a batch. When something sells, the cost comes from the oldest batch that still has stock (FIFO). You can click any profit figure to see which batch it used.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, 14 days, and it needs no card. You get the full product on the plan you pick, so you can connect eBay and look at a real month before you pay anything.
Can I pay monthly or yearly?
Both. Pay monthly, or pay for a year at once and save 20% on any plan. You can switch between them later from your billing page.
Why do the prices say plus tax?
Sales tax and VAT depend on where you are. Our payment partner works out the right tax for your country at checkout and shows it before you pay. You get a proper invoice.
How do I pay, and is my card safe?
You pay on a secure checkout run by our payment partner, who is the seller of record for the subscription. Sellcount never sees or stores your card number.
What happens if I go over my plan’s limits?
Nothing is ever deleted. If you reach a limit you cannot add new things until you upgrade, and you can still read everything, run reports and export your data. Order limits are counted each month, for each store.
Can I change plan or cancel?
Yes, at any time from your billing page. Upgrades start straight away. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. The refund rules are on the Refunds and cancelling page.
What is Enterprise?
For larger sellers and agencies with higher volumes or special needs: limits set for you, help moving over from your spreadsheets, a security review and a data processing agreement. Message us and we will build the plan around you.
How is my account protected?
Two-factor authentication with recovery codes, a list of where you are signed in (with sign out everywhere), and sign-in history. eBay tokens are encrypted and used only by server jobs. Every table is protected by row level security, so one account can never read another’s data. More on the Security page.
Can I take my data with me?
Yes. Build Excel or PDF reports for any period from either sheet, and the owner can download everything a store holds, both sheets included, from the Account page. You can delete your account and your data whenever you like.
Is Sellcount tax or accounting advice?
No. Sellcount gives you accurate figures to work from, and a clean audit workbook your accountant can check. It is not tax, legal or accounting advice.
Can my team use it?
Yes, on Plus and above. You choose a role for each person: Manager, Operator or Viewer. Each role sees only what it needs, and an Operator never sees profit figures.
